So, August 3rd, I left Capernaum camp early to see my friends' band, The Gerbil Conspiracy, perform for the last time. If you want to see 2 songs from that performance (as well as a bunch from another one of their performances), I have some of their songs uploaded to my YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/MewMewa/videos
Unless they get a record deal, they're breaking up forever. :( I'm glad I got to see their last performance at least. :/
So, onto Capernaum camp. I gotta say, they've got MAJOR Bieber Fever. They recorded people singing "Baby" and then put it all together in a video. Also, I saw several people with Justin Bieber T-shirts and Alexis and Catherine were singing his newest song (As Long As You Love Me) throughout the whole thing.
Of course, right as I was leaving, Hailey (one of my best friends) showed up. Anyway...
Overall, Capernaum camp was really fun. Of course, I couldn't do half the stuff I wanted to (pool, zip line) because of my period, but oh well.
I didn't think we were allowed to bring cameras, so I didn't get any pictures from it. Oh well.
I, of course, spent almost the whole time making Key Of Awesome references. On the way there, What Makes You Beautiful came on the radio and I introduced Alexis, Catherine, and Miranda to the legendary parody. Then it came on again during club and I had to censor half of it, but I still sang it. And I could tell that someone who was originally beside me had left because I was singing the parody. Hehe.
Then, we made a mini-"music video" to Call Me Maybe and (again you couldn't hear me) I sang "and all the other boys try to taze me" instead of chase me. When Catherine and Alexis were singing the original WMYB because it was stuck in their heads, I sang the parody (and I could kind of tell I was annoying them :P).
So many KoA references, so little time. Hehe. So, on the first night for dinner, since I have VERY picky tastes, I ate nothing but the carrots for dinner. For dessert though, I don't have picky taste at all, and I was the first one to finish eating.
We had to go through this "obstacle course" and part of it was to get our cheeks (or other body parts) painted but thanks to Catherine we already had our cheeks painted.
I met another girl named Anna there. She was awesome and loves to dance just as much as me.
Oh, and they played Party In The USA a lot while we there. It was awesome. I may have over-danced just a little bit. :P
All in all, an awesome experience. Hopefully I can go again next year for the whole time. :)
The Gerbil Conspiracy breaking up has also reminded me of the fact that we'll all be splitting apart after this year, never to see each other again. I'm not ready to graduate. Not even close. :(
