So... I think I should finally tell you how my Britney Spears concert went.
We live in a small town, so it was hard to get into a big city like Washington DC. We had to drive in circles several times before we finally got there several minutes late.
We immediately headed to the merchandise. Last year when we went to the Lady Gaga concert, we waited until after the concert was over to get the merchandise and that didn't work out so good so we decided to do it immediately this time. I got a T-shirt, tote bag, and poster.
We then went to our (very bad) seats in the second to top row and watched Nicki perform. I must say I have much more respect for Nicki Minaj after this show. She ended with "Super Bass". I don't know what she started with because, like I said, we got there a little late.
Then, 44 minutes later, there she was. The legendary miss Britney Spears. I'm struggling trying to remember which song she started with. I think it was Hold It Against Me. I know 3 was the second song though. I couldn't do the 3 dance routine that I had memorized though because there wasn't enough space and I was afraid my hands in the air would block the view of the few people behind us.
My sisters h ate Toxic and think it's creepy so I haven't been allowed to listen to it on the radio; I'm glad I could finally hear it again (yes, I realize I could listen to it on the CD or iTunes, but this made it more... special, I think).
I was surprised she decided to do Lace And Leather, but hey, I'm not complaining. That's one of my favorite Britney songs.
I really like how Britney ended with Till The World Ends and switched to the remix with Nicki so well. I'm still angry that they took out He About To Lose Me (Live); I was really looking forward to that, but oh well. The biggest crowd pleaser was definitely I Wanna Go. EVERYBODY was dancing to that.
After the concert was over, we attempted to go back home, but it was too late/dark, so we decided to stay at a hotel nearby. We only got 4 - 6 hours of sleep, but it was worth it. Then, the next day, we rode home listening to FF, Circus, and Britney (my favorite albums of hers). I was originally going to put in Blackout instead of FF, but other than Piece Of Me and Why Should I Be Sad, let's face it, they're all about the same subject and I didn't think my mom would like that.
Anyway, that was an amazing concert. I wish I could watch it over and over again. Britney really does know how to put on a show. If I ever get the chance, I might want to see her again.
