When did LOOKING at somebody become a crime?

So, yesterday during choir class, there was this black hair and skinned g irl with glasses. She always seemed to me like a nice person.

However, just when I turned to face her in order to hear what she was saying better (because it sounded funny), she asked 'why are you looking over here?' Then later, I looked at her a second time and she asked the same thing.

I don't know, is looking at a person behind you two times a BAD THING?

Maybe kids pick on her or something and she's always thinking that people who look at her are messing with her behind her back or something.

That's what I always thought when people would do that in high school.

Well not may people like to be stared at numerous times, no matter the innocent the motive is. Maybe you should go up to her and just say that you were just curious to see what she was about and that is why you were staring at her.
